Gary Petersen Bio: I’ve devoted my life to crafting the written word. After focusing on creative writing for television, film and live theater for over 15 years, I returned to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth as a teaching fellow to complete a Master of Arts in Communication and Professional Writing. Completed with honors while teaching six undergraduate courses in technical communication, and working full-time as a freelance writer/performer. My experiences as a tutor and an intern at the campus Writing and Multiliteracy Center enabled me to work alongside students, and faculty to learn how a college writing center operates on all levels. My vast experience as writer spans across many genres, but the centerpiece of my passion revolves around the journey of creation through communications.
